An updated version of “A Guide to Building and Running an Effective CCM” has been released. The guide was prepared by Aidspan and the Alliance Regional Technical Support Hub – South Asia. The CCM Guide provides practical advice on building, strengthening and effectively running a country coordinating mechanism. The primary target audiences are CCM members and the staff of CCM secretariats. Other stakeholders who may find the guide helpful include principal recipients and other organizations and individuals that are represented on CCMs or work closely with CCMs. The CCM guide includes sections on structure, size, representation and core functions. It also discusses how CCMs should function. There is a separate chapter on the new CCM eligibility and performance assessments. This is the third edition of the CCM Guide. Some of the changes from the previous edition include the addition of chapter key point summaries, further reading boxes and links to examples of existing policies, manuals and other documents developed by or for CCMs.
