ABSTRACT
The allocation of funding for the next round is underway. Countries are eagerly awaiting the allocation letters. But we all also know that we are dragging the same unresolved issues behind us, the same counterproductive processes from cycle to cycle which hinder our performance, stifle our innovation, and prevent the expected progress. This article reflects on four of these challenges, in a non-exhaustive list of issues we need to sort out if we pretend to achieve greater impact.
