ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT In the lead-up to World Malaria Day 2019, and with Thailand as Chair of ASEAN gearing up to observe Malaria Week from 22 to 25 April, we examine the Global Fund’s largest multicountry grant to accelerate malaria elimination. Thailand’s borders (and the Greater Mekong Subregion) have a history of antimalarial drug resistance, and a surge in artemisinin resistance threatens the gains made in the fight against malaria; we take a closer look at this grant from Thailand’s perspective.
