ABSTRACT The Global Fund has issued a guidance note on the CCM minimum requirements; a new publication is available on using Global Fund proposals to maximise MNCH outputs; and a video on the work of the Global Fund is available online.
Global Fund Issues Guidance Note on CCM Minimum Requirements
The Global Fund has issued a guidance note to accompany the new CCM guidelines adopted in May 2011.
For each of the six minimum CCM requirements, the guidance note: (a) explains the rationale for the requirement; (b) provides a list of actions and procedures that the Global Fund believes are required to enable the CCM to produce required documents; and (c) provides a list of documents that are required to be submitted whenever CCMs are asked to demonstrate compliance with the requirement, as well as examples of additional documents that CCMs may choose to submit.

New Publication on Using Global Fund-Supported Programmes to Maximise MNCH Outcomes
World Vision International has released a publication that explains how Global Fund-supported programmes can be used to maximise maternal, newborn and child health (MNCH) outcomes. The publication provides a menu of MNCH-related interventions that can be included in programmes for the three diseases.

Video on the Work of the Global Fund Available Online
“A New Picture of Health,” produced by the United Nations Foundation, is a 26-minute documentary chronicling how investments in health are empowering communities and putting an end to diseases of poverty. It is available online. The video includes personal stories from community health workers, patients, and community leaders to show the impact of the Global Fund’s programs in Ethiopia, Rwanda and Indonesia.
The video is narrated by the renowned conservationist, Jane Goodall. “A New Picture of Health” received its world premiere at the African Union Summit in Uganda, in July 2010.
