AIDSPAN WELCOMES NEW STAFF

ABSTRACT Three people are joining the staff of Aidspan: Karanja Kinyanjui as Senior Editor, Kerstin Reisdorf as Editor/Writer, and Frank Wafula, PhD, as a consultant in the Research Department.
Aidspan is pleased to announce three new staff appointments.
Karanja Kinyanjui has been appointed to the position of Senior Editor, Editorial Department. As Senior Editor, Karanja will be responsible for coordinatingĀ Global Fund Observer (GFO),Ā for writing and editing Aidspan guides and reports, and for managing the Editorial Unit.
Most recently, Karanja was Managing Editor ofĀ East Africa Report, an online magazine published by Readwide Media. Karanja has also worked as a sub-editor for Nation Media Group. In addition, he has published two books and has written for numerous periodicals. Karanja has already taken up his new duties at Aidspan.
In addition, Kerstin Reisdorf will become Editor/Writer in the Editorial Department. Kerstin will assist the Senior Editor in his functions and assume responsibility for some projects directly.
Kerstin has been working for the GAVI Alliance, first as Manager of Donor Communications (in Geneva) and, more recently, as a consultant based in Nairobi doing media monitoring and other projects. Kerstin will start her work with Aidspan shortly.
Finally, Frank Wafula, PhD, will join Aidspan on a temporary basis as a consultant in the Research Department, working on several research projects.
Frank has spent the past few years as a Wellcome Trust Fellow in Public Health and Tropical Medicine at the KEMRI/Wellcome Trust Research Programme. Frank has already taken up his new duties at Aidspan.
