MANY FINAL REPORTS ON OIG AUDITS AND DIAGNOSTIC REVIEWS HAVE YET TO BE PUBLISHED

ABSTRACT The Global Fund's Office of the Inspector General has still not published reports on 28 audits and diagnostic reviews that it was due to have undertaken by the end of 2011, despite the fact that the protocol between the OIG and the Global Fund Secretariat states that the OIG will strive to produce each such report within six months of the completion of the fieldwork.

The Global Fund’s Office of the Inspector General (OIG) has still not published reports on 28 audits and diagnostic reviews that it was due to have undertaken by the end of 2011. This is despite the fact that the protocol between the OIG and the Global Fund Secretariat states that the OIG will strive to produce each such report within six months of the completion of the fieldwork.

In the last four years, the OIG has published a total of 20 audit reports. The table below provides information on the status of the 28 as-yet-unpublished reports.

Source: The OIG issues two progress reports per year. These are normally posted on the OIG pages of the Global Fund’s website here. However, the progress reports for November 2010 to March 2011 and April to October 2011 have not been posted there, even though they were made available to Board delegations in May and November 2011 respectively.
