Global Fund partnership said to have saved 32 million lives up to end 2018
The Global Fund estimates that health programs supported by the Fund resulted in 32 million lives saved for the period ending December 2018. This figure was included in Results Report 2019, which the Fund released on 19 September 2019.

Programs supported by the Global Fund continue to show impressive results
The Global Fund continues to show impressive gains with respect to the number of people receiving key HIV, TB and malaria services as a result of programs supported by the Fund. Some of the gains reflect increased uptake of services, while other gains are the result of better reporting.
Number of people receiving ART through programs supported by the Global Fund reaches 10 million
In the first half of 2016, through programs supported by the Global Fund, another 787,000 people were put on antiretroviral treatment (ART) for HIV, bringing the total to date to 10 million, a 9% increase over end-2015 results and a 17% increase over the number a year ago. Three countries account for 77% of the increase from six months ago: Kenya (52%), Tanzania (16%) and Mozambique (9%).
KPI results for 2014-2016 show mostly strong results
The Global Fund is on track to not just meet, but surpassed its target for the number of infections it averted between 2012 and 2016, according to the mid-year KPI results presented to the Board this week. This is one of 10 areas in which he organisation’s targets are on track, but four of the performance measures are below expectation or are at risk of not being met.

The Global Fund’s Fifth Replenishment Campaign received an important boost from its largest donor, the United States, with the announcement of a pledge of up to $4.3 billion for the 2017-2019 period. This compares to the $4.1 billion that the U.S. contributed for the last replenishment period.
Global Fund estimates that 20 million lives have been saved through programs the Fund supports
The Global Fund estimates that the number of lives saved by programs to which the Fund contributes now stands at 20 million, and will reach 22 million by the end of 2016.
End-2015 results released
In the second half of 2015, through programs supported by The Global Fund, another 641,000 people were put on antiretroviral treatment (ART) for HIV, bringing the total to date to 9.2 million, a 7.5% increase over mid-2015 results and a 14.5% increase over the numbers a year ago.
