Eastern Europe/Central Asia network chooses in-country partners for its regional harm reduction project on HIV in EECA
The Eurasian Harm Reduction Network issued a tender in September 2013 for in-country partners to implement the regional programme, "Harm Reduction Works. Fund it!" Developed as part of the network's concept note for the transition phase of the new funding model, the programme seeks to facilitate effective regional advocacy for harm reduction among injected drug users across five countries in EECA.
EECA Initiative on Harm Reduction Moves a Few Steps Closer to Submitting a Concept Note
The Eurasian Harm Reduction Network (EHRN) has submitted a draft project concept to the Global Fund for review by the Secretariat and the Technical Review Panel (TRP) prior to submitting a full concept note. EHRN is the applicant for a regional initiative in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) on HIV and harm reduction. This is part of the transition phase of the new funding model (NFM).
Policy Brief Raises Concerns About New Funding Model
The Eurasian Harm Reduction Network has released a policy brief on “The Global Fund’s New Funding Model: What It Might Mean for You and Your Country.” The brief is based on research in four countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA): Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Uzbekistan.
