A consultation workshop in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on country coordinating mechanisms (CCMs) provided an opportunity for CCM members from 15 countries to discuss the challenges facing CCMs and to put forward suggestions for addressing the challenges.
The consultation in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire on the evolution of the country coordination mechanism (CCM) model provided a valuable opportunity for CCM members to share a dialogue among peers and with the Global Fund Secretariat. Participants took advantage of the opportunity to voice their concerns about the challenges they face in ensuring their CCMs function effectively.
USAID’s Grant Management Solutions project (GMS), a major provider of Global Fund–related technical assistance (TA) is ending in September. The purpose of GMS is to improve the functioning of Global Fund grants – primarily through urgent, short-term TA – and thereby increase the effectiveness and efficiency of prevention, care and treatment interventions for HIV, TB and malaria.
